Sheep shepherd family on their way to their flock of sheep up in the mountains forests.First shot of a series made in Romania during a trip through eastern Europe in 2002. This little village in the province Maramures near the Ukraine border had many things going on which were more than worth to photograph. All shots we're done with an analog Mamiya 6 x 4.5 and analog Canon Eos 1n, later scanned from film. Enjoy!Funeral in a village in Maramures. Her twin sister is being buried.

'The first big challenge was to swim a distance of 60 metres under an ice-deck of a metre thick beyond the Polar Circle,' he revealed. 'My goggles froze and I lost the track and so I went off course a little. I probably did the best record ever - around 80 metres. 'I missed the 60 metre hole and must have swam double the distance before a diver gripped my almost unconscious body, and drew me back to the 60 metre hole.'
